As the school year begins, let me take a moment and remind you of some important deadlines.  Applications for admission to major colleges and universities should be submitted no later than October 1.  Many of these will also have a scholarship application deadline of December 1.  Applications for admission to community colleges should be postmarked no later than December 1 and many of these will have a March 1 deadline for scholarship applications. Let me know as soon as you have submitted an application and I will send a transcript.  Most colleges prefer that you apply online and  response time is usually quicker. 

Be sure to check with the institutution where you are applying to see if the writing portion of the ACT is requried.
